Hello fellow readers!!!!!
I can't get over the fact that it is already the 10th of March, is it just me or is this year kind of going by fast already? I have some interesting books for you this week and hope that one or all capture your attention and you can enjoy them as much as I did. Today I bring you "Membrane" by Carol Moreira, which I loved. If you liked the "Hunger Games", chances are you will like "Membrane" as well.
Here is the summary taken straight from Goodreads.....
"You can’t outrun the membrane ...
For Tanya turning sixteen sucks. Her former friend Rachel is bullying her, the love of her life doesn’t know she exists and her self-esteem isn’t exactly sky-high. Things go from bad to worse when she gets slimed at a bus stop and finds herself in an alternate universe and faced with another version of herself.
Her alternate universe double is cool and confident, if a bit bossy. P — short for Princess because in Tanya’s eyes she is one — is part of an organization called Resist. Trained in tactical defense, Resist is preparing for an invasion by the Others. But are the Others really mobilizing to take over P’s universe or has there been some kind of galactic miscommunication?
On the other side of the membrane, who can Tanya trust to make it back to her universe alive?"
"Membrane" is one thrilling ride, that makes you think "what if?". It will have your heart racing and mind wondering what will happen on the adventure next. What I really loved about this book is that you couldn't figure out what it was all about or what is going to happen next. A lot of people have said it is a little like "The Hunger Games" and I would have to agree with them to a point, but "Membrane" is it's own story all in its self.
Before reading this book you need to go in with an open mind, and you have to be ready for a trilling mystery. If you are one of those people who hate figuring out what will happen in a book, then you will love this one, because I can bet you won't be able to figure out what will happen next. This is such a well written and amazing, new type of book and I recommend anyone with a sense of adventure or a love of dystopia novels, read this book.
Rating: 5/5 dystopian cities......
