"Elizabeth" (A Happy Ashley Review)

Hello my luvs!!!!!!

So, as I told you I would on Monday, I am doing another Sunfire series review. It is another Historical Romance, like all in the books in the series, but this one is in a different time period. "Elizabeth" by Willo Davis Roberts, takes place during the Salem Witch Trials and is just as good.

Here is the summary taken straight from Goodreads.....

"In a time of treachery and terror, loving the wrong man could be a deadly risk. Did she dare follow her heart?
When someone points an accusing finger and cries "Witch!" Elizabeth face a choice -- between a lie that could doom a friend, and the truth that would threaten her own life. The truth could also ruin wealthy Troy's love for Elizabeth and reveal her own attraction to a stranger -- a wild and ruthless boy who shares her fear and courage."

Elizabeth is a head strong girl, who is just trying to be the girl her uncle wants her to be. When she looses her parents she goes to leave with her aunt and uncle, along with her two siblings. When something happens and Elizabeth can't save one of her siblings, she will do anything to get him back. She meets a new friend, who is a little different than Elizabeth has ever encountered. Along the way her sense of right and wrong will be tested and she will have to choose which way she wants to go. Will she tell the truth and risk loosing everything or will she sit ideally by and watch an innocent die?

What I love about the books I have read in this story, is every female character is a strong heroine, who don't need a man to save them. I feel if more females read stories like these then there life would be changed and they would realize we are strong in our own way. We can save ourselves and get through tough times without a man, who all of these female characters demonstrate.

Happy Reading!!!!

Rating: 5/5 paintings of the Salem Witch Trials.....
