"Number The Stars" (Another Heartfelt Ashley Review)

Happy 5 days till Christmas everyone!!!!

I can't believe that in five days Christmas will be here, where has this year gone. The last book of the week is "Number The Stars" by Lois Lowry. This is another book that has to do with the holocaust. In all honestly, I can't say I have read this book in awhile, the only time I read it was in middle school, but I feel like it fits with the other two books.

Here is the summary of this book taken from Goodreads......

"Ten-year-old Annemarie Johansen and her best friend Ellen Rosen often think of life before the war. It's now 1943 and their life in Copenhagen is filled with school, food shortages, and the Nazi soldiers marching through town. When the Jews of Denmark are "relocated," Ellen moves in with the Johansens and pretends to be one of the family. Soon Annemarie is asked to go on a dangerous mission to save Ellen's life."

This is another book of life during Nazi Germany and the risk of hiding a Jew. All three of these books have that in common. You, as the reader, get to see three different stories and how they affected different people. These are such amazing books, yes they will pull at your heart strings and yes you might struggle to get through them, but if you can you will be able to see things differently. I honestly hope that you give one or all these books a try, if you have never read them. They will have an impact on your life and will show you how the holocaust affected everyone that was dealing with it.

Until Next Time,

Ashley

Rating: 5/5 quotes that I believe go great with the theme of the week.....
