"The Iron Butterfly" (A Happy Ashley Review)

Good Afternoon My Fellow Bookworms!!!

Today I will be reviewing a new kind of book for yall. "The Iron Butterfly" is the first in a three book series by Chanda Hahn. It brings you into a fantasy world where you get to see the good and the bad. It is not like any other book that I have read which makes it that much better.

Here is the summary of this amazing beginning to the book series.....
"Imprisoned, starved and left with no memories, Thalia awakens to find herself at the mercy of an evil cult known as the Septori. Their leader has chosen Thalia as the test subject for a torture device of untold power, designed to change and twist her into something that is neither human nor Denai.

Escaping, Thalia finds an unwilling warrior to protect her and an unlikely Denai to befriend her. After finding a home at the Citadel as a servant, Thalia’s worst nightmare comes to life and she begins to show signs of power. Scared and unable to control her gifts, she tries to hide her past to fit in among the Denai. But the Septori want their latest test subject back and will stop at nothing to retrieve her, dead or alive."
I don't want to tell you more about the book because I don't want to give anything away. I will say that there are some descriptive torture scenes and memory flashbacks, so if you have a weak stomach this is not the book for you. The author does give you strong characters, that all come with their own emotional baggage, but that's what makes them real. I love reading books that are so different from everything and have characters that you could picture as real people, with real problems. I have read the second book "The Steele Wolf" and can't wait for the finale one to come out to see how this all ends. There will be a love triangle and it will be interesting to see which one she ends up with. One minute your rooting for one guy the next your rooting for the other, and that's what I love about this book.
This is one not to be missed and I hope yall fall in love with the suspense and intrigue of this book as I did.
Till Next Time!!!!
Rating: 5/5 Iron Butterflies......
