So, today I am going to review a very beautiful, very emotional book. "On One Condition" by Diane Alberts, is such an amazing, good read. The reader can see the emotions of these well written characters and can feel what they are feeling. You feel their happiness, sadness, anger, and sometimes you even want to slap them for the stupid things they do.
The summary of this amazing book is as follows.....
"Kindergarten teacher Johanna hates Valentine’s Day. She hates romance, hates commercialism, and definitely hates her school’s annual charity date auction. She never expects her pre-auction night of drinking to land a sexy Brit in her bed. Or for that Brit to show up at the auction, bid thousands just to talk to her again, and get down on one knee in front of everyone and ask her to marry him.
Viscount Damon Haymes has never met anyone like Johanna. She’s neurotic, fascinating, and fun. She also doesn’t care about his title and doesn’t want his money, which makes Johanna perfect to fulfill a surprise clause in his father’s will: marry within three months and remain married for a year, or lose his fortune. A relationship is out of the question, but when passions ignite and the two fall in love, their marriage of convenience becomes anything but."
The combative personalities of Johanna and Damon collide in this amazing book. You have to admit with this summary you are a little curious as to how this will all work out, I know I was. Johanna is a strong, independent woman, who is doing this for the good of the children she teaches at her school. Damon is a hard headed, viscount, who is doing this because he won't get to keep his money or title unless he gets married. When these two collide they really collide and the reader can feel their strength coming off the pages. This is a very good, quick read, and you will hopefully, love this book as much as I did.
Rating: I give this book 5/5 wedding rings....
