"Once Upon A Tower" (An Ashley Review)

Hello blog readers!!!

I am back today with a kind of fairy tale retelling, but not. I know complete confusion and probably thinking I lost my mind, but although the title and description you would think it is. This book is more of a historical romance, with a fairy tale thrown in towards the end of the book. "Once upon a tower" by Eloisa James, is a mesmerizing, whirl wind romance, oh no he didn't, kind of time.  Lol yes I did just say oh no he didn't, but once you read this book you will be right there with me. Plus, the cover is absolutely beautiful.

Here is the summary of this emotional book.....
  "Once upon a time…

A duke fell in love
Gowan Stoughton of Craigievar, Duke of Kinross, values order and self-control above all else. So when he meets a lady as serene as she is beautiful, he promptly asks for her hand in marriage.

With a lady

Edie—whose passionate temperament is the opposite of serene—had such a high fever at her own debut ball that she didn’t notice anyone, not even the notoriously elusive Duke of Kinross. When her father accepts his offer… she panics.

And when their marriage night isn’t all it could be, she pretends.

In a tower.

But Edie’s inability to hide her feelings makes pretending impossible, and when their marriage implodes, she retreats to a tower—locking Gowan out.

Now Gowan faces his greatest challenge. Neither commands nor reason work with his spirited young bride. How can he convince her to give him the keys to the tower…

When she already has the keys to his heart?"

This is such an emotional read that my emotions were all over the place. I went from laughing, to pissed, to sad, to wanting to slap the characters all in one seating. But, this book is so worth the crazy emotions to read this book and finish it. I would explain more but I would give so many twists and turns away that I am afraid I would ruin this well written book. Needless to say I will be reading some more of her books, because this book got me hooked, plus she did a book about my weakness, "Beauty and the Beast". I really hope yall give this book a chance, because it is so worth the time and money, and you won't be disappointed!!!

Happy Reading!!!!

Rating: 5/5 Momiji's and Kusanage's from "Blue Seed"....random I know....
