" Prom and Prejudice" (A Blonde's Review)

Dear Fellow Readers,

"Prom and Prejudice" by Elizabeth Eulberg, is a laugh out loud re-make of  Jane Austen's "Pride and Prejudice". This is another very cute and good re-make, that fellow Austen lovers, will love and want to read over and over again. This book has the same characters, but these twists are a little similar and a little different at the same time. I loved this re-telling which is saying something coming from me. It had me laughing and saying " OMG...I could so see that happening" and I believe that if she were alive today, Jane Austen, would laugh at her characters too. Plus the cover is awesome and just drew me into the book from the get go.

The summary of this laugh out loud, lovable book, is as follows......
" It is a truth universally acknowledged, that a single girl of high standing at Longbourn Academy must be in want of a prom date. After winter break, the girls at the very prestigious Longbourn Academy become obsessed with the prom. Lizzie Bennet, who attends Longbourn on a scholarship, isn't interested in designer dresses and expensive shoes, but her best friend, Jane might be- especially now that Charles Bingley is back from a semester in London. Lizzie is happy about her friend's burgeoning romance but less than impressed by Charles's friend, Will Darcy, who's snobby and pretentious. Darcy doesn't seem to like Lizzie either, but she assumes it's because her family doesn't have money. Clearly, Will Darcy is a pompous jerk- so why does Lizzie find herself drawn to him anyway?"

Lizzie Bennet thinks the females at Longbourn Academy are psychotic, because of how obsessed they are about prom. The funny thing is some of the guys, like Darcy, find those girls are crazy with how hard they try to get dates. Lizzie will do anything to make Jane happy, so if that means going to a party with people who hate her, than she will do it. Lizzie is just as strong as a character as Elizabeth was. Darcy is still the same pompous ass that he always was, but like the original Darcy, this Darcy does start seeing the error of his ways, and finds himself drawn to the strong, willed, Lizzie Bennet. Can these two strong willed people push their differences aside or will the circumstances they have to face tear them apart forever?

Till next time!!!!

Rating: 5/5 dancing Belle and her Prince, because who would make a better prom couple!!!!
