Hello happy peppy readers! Today I am actually gonna do a review of one of my favorite books ( God, knows there are several favorites of mine..lol). "Beautiful Disaster" by Jamie McGuire, is a highly addictive book. I stumbled upon this book, in the Las Vegas airport when my mom and I's flight going back to Dallas got delayed. From the second I started reading this book, I couldn't put it down. The thrill ride is one giant "OMG" moment from "Ugh I wanna slap him" lol or at least those were just some of my reactions.
Here is the Summary:
"The new Abby Abernathy is a good girl. She doesn't drink or swear, and she has the appropriate number of cardigans in her wardrobe. Abby believes she has enough distance from the darkness of her past, but when she arrives at college with her best friend, her path to a new beginning is quickly challenged by Eastern University's Walking One Night Stand. Travis Maddox, lean, cut, and covered in tattoos, is exactly what Abby wants-and needs- to avoid. He spends his nights winning money in a floating fight ring, and his days as the ultimate college campus charmer. Intrigues by Abby's resistance to his appeal, Travis tricks her into his daily life with a simple bet. If he loses, he must remain abstinent for a month. If Abby loses, she must live in Travis's apartment for the same amount of time. Either way, Travis has no idea that he has met his match."
This book is guaranteed to suck you in from the first few sentences. The romance between Abby and Travis is so interesting to see how it plays out. You love and hate Travis all at the same time, because he can be a dick when he wants to be. It's a classic story of good girl falls for bad boy...or does she? This is a must read and I give a little warning that it has some sexual scenes in it, but they are eloquently written. This book will make you want to fall in love with a bad boy of your own. *sigh*
What I can't wait for his on April 2nd, Jamie has " Walking Disaster" coming out which is the story from Travis's point of view, which I am so so so so excited about. These stories will not disappoint you and are so worth the time it takes to read. So please don't knock it until you try it and pick up this book and enjoy it.
